Scraphouse

Medium: Environmental public art project

Size: Two bedroom house (~1000 sq ft), Civic Center Plaza, San Francisco

Additional details: My vision for this project is that a tiny thumbnail picture would visually communicate the possibility of building material reuse, and implant it as a symbolic possibility. As project director for ScrapHouse, I led teams of San Francisco architects, artists, contractors, city officials, and engineers to construct a house using only scrap and salvaged materials.

Awards: AIASF Special Achievement Award 2006
